about LOVE146...
the CAUSE...
For years now human trafficking has been exploding worldwide. Children as young as 8 years of age are sold to predators that enslave them, steal their innocence, and crush their dreams, leaving them trapped in a hopeless future. The United Nations estimates that 1.2 million children are trafficked each year; that is
more than two children per minute! The total market value of human trafficking is estimated to be $32 billion, making it one of the most lucrative crimes in the world, second only to the sale of illegal drugs.
Knowing this and the stories of the young children that are being rescued and restored challenges us to respond. That is why on September 24th, 2010, we are riding our bikes from Indianapolis, Indiana to New York and the Statue of Liberty in order to raise money and awareness for Love146 and the issue of child exploitation... to freedom, for freedom.
Love146 works toward the abolition of child sex trafficking and exploitation through prevention and aftercare. Love146 trains aftercare workers, multiplies safe homes, aids socioeconomic development programs in high risk communities, and provides a voice for victims of modern-day slavery.
Love146 is a registered public charity, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
